FORMING SOUNDS
'DUO’ is a pair of devices that ensure long distance families can stay connected. The product consists of two electrical components, The Mini and The Tower, that connect to eachother through an application. The main home device, Tower, allows the use of a speaker, mobile phone, text messages, reminders, updates and the smart feature ‘Colour Change’. The smaller additional device, Mini, allows the use of a speaker and the ‘Colour Change’ feature.
DUO APP SCREENS
The devices are targeted to be used in two dierent locations, for example Scotland and England. The main Tower device is aimed towards the parents with the complex functions, while the Mini is aimed towards younger children as a result of its more simplistic functions. The DUO designs have been kept sleek and simple to allow them to t into the majority of peoples homes. Both units have minimal buttons and switches as a result of their connection to the smart app. The main Tower device has been created to be portable and incorporates a charger within, meaning that the device can be taken to work, school or anywhere that it may be needed. The Mini and the Towers designs mimic the heights of adults and children to further pull in the design idea to
the design.
